The Taiwan Excellence Happy Run has been successful over the past 2 years, with 2,000 participants in 2014 and 6,000 participants in the second year. The Taiwan Excellence Happy Run 2016, held in Jakarta this morning, is organized by Taiwan’s Bureau of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and implemented by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).
Today’s Taiwan Excellence Happy Run 2016 has attracted more than 6,500 people, which runners will be able to participate in either the 3 km or 8 km course. This year, the Taiwan Excellence Happy Run will show the Taiwan Excellence Carnival on September 3rd and 4th. This two-day event will demonstrate innovative Taiwan Excellence products, Taiwanese food and beverages, Taiwan Excellence games, charities, lots of wonderful performances, and of course the Taiwan Excellence Happy Run.
The Taiwan Excellence Happy Run is not only a running event. The children’s charities, KAMI and Kak Seto, joined this event, giving an opportunity to all participants to donate books to children in need. To encourage more people join the meaningful event, people who donate books will get a chance to win a SYM motorcycle.
Mr. Walter Yeh, the Executive Vice President of TAITRA, said, “We want to spread the message that sports are not only good for health, but also can make people feel happier. And even more important, by holding the book charity, we hope to spread the positive energy all throughout Indonesian society.”
The Taiwan Excellence Gallery is also an important part in this Taiwan Excellence Carnival 2016. A total of 54 brands, with more than 80 products from ICT, sports and leisure, and healthcare are shown in the Taiwan Excellence Gallery. Some of the brands include Acer, Anscare, Optoma, PX, and Weplay. Over the 2-day event, visitors will be able to try out bicycles from Taiwan, taste Taiwanese food and beverages, and play Taiwan Excellence games.
