DGS-1500 Series is the new generation of Gigabit Smart Switch. DGS-1500 Series enables D-Link’s innovative Green Ethernet Technology and is compliant with IEEE802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet standard. DGS-1500 Series integrates to D-Link’s innovative features such as Safeguard Engine to prevent switch’s CPU from worm attacking, Auto Surveillance VLAN (ASV) to automatically prioritize specific IP Surveillance in highest priority and give in specific VLAN. To fulfill the demand of management functions and ease-to-use interface for SOHO and SMB, DGS-1500 Series integrates many innovative D-Link management functions. For example, Single IP Management is to provide virtual stacking up to 32 devices at a time, SmartConsole Utility is a user friendly PC utility which allows user perfoming remote management on all switches in the same network subnet via a single PC, working with D-View 6.0 which is an innovative D-Link management tool with graphic switch icon for remote management and real-time monitoring through a single PC.
D-Link regards “green” concept as very crucial and valuable benefit to both of earth and end users, so they very proactively develop any ideal method to save energy on switches. The innovative technologies are including as follows:
1.These environmentally-friendly devices decrease energy costs through the reduction of power consumption without sacrificing operational performance or functionality, providing benefits to both the ecosystem and Home/SOHO/SMB users. By reducing power consumption, less heat is produced, resulting in extended product life and lower operating costs.
D-Link is the only one in worldwide to offer both of power saving technologies on the DGS-1500 Series as follows.
2.Compliant with IEEE802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet standard
3.Innovative environmental protection design
About D-Link Corporation
Founded in 1986, D-Link is a global leader in advanced networking, broadband, digital, voice and data communication solutions. We continually meet the needs of the digital home, small office, small-to-medium sized businesses, and enterprise environments.
In 1986, D Link founder Ken Kao and six colleagues set out on an entrepreneurial venture that would forever change the computer networking industry. D Link was founded under the name Datex Systems. The name D Link takes the leading D from Datex, combining it with the concept of a “link” connecting people. In fact, D Link’s Chinese name roughly translates as “friends networking together.” This concept continues to shape D Link’s brand today. Though founded as a small venture, D Link has since swelled into an international networking giant with over 2,800 employees worldwide. D Link has emerged as a trusted brand with a worldwide reputation for robust and affordable networking solutions, and has renewed its commitment to developing “green” technologies and IPv6 ready hardware which will prepare its customers for an alluring new era of ultimate connectivity.
