Product aspect
1.The profile is based on a "miniaturization" approach to design by shortening the width of the cross-section and narrowing the tread, which can save approximately 5-8% material, thus effectively reducing the production cost while saving in the process.
2.The structure and material adopt a lightweight design by applying the most appropriate cost structure to the highest strength material to reduce the product weight by 6%, minimizing the power lost due to the weight of the tire in driving, further achieving the effect of both energy & carbon reduction.
3.We use a high rigidity Filler Compound that improves side rigidity (elasticity by approximately 2% vertically and 4% horizontally), which not only effectively reduces power lost to beads in peristalsis, but also avoids tire failure likely from heat by peristalsis.
5.ECO-1 is the first NANKANG Tire that appeals to environmental protection, implementing highly dispersed Silica and special adhesiveness into the treads that firmly join the rubber and Silica to form this particular synthetic rubber, which greatly reduces febrile and rolling resistance by 10% in driving, making the tire more fuel saving and achieving both energy & carbon reduction.

2.Since launched in 2010, ECO-1 has successfully revealed ﹝ECO DRIVING‧GREEN LIVING﹞as the booth designing theme in major tire exhibitions.
3.In order to strengthen the NANKANG brand for the transformation of both evolution and innovation, a task to redesign the brand image has been undertaken since 2010 by employing Ogilvy & Mather Advertising as the marketing consultant; expected in Q4 2011, a brand new CIS image of NANKANG Tire shall be revealed to consumers.
