Metal forming is developing forward high precision and net shape forming. The operation with many presses and lots of workers is no longer satisfy the requirement of high-efficiency, high-precision and parts variety. Forming with single press and automation is getting important. With the base of knuckle joint forging press, KW1 is applied in flattening, ironing, bulging, front-rear extrusion, coining, forging and pressing, closed-die forging, etc to form different shapes of product. The forging process has higher loading and severer conditions than normal. There’re difficulties in forging process: die strength, die eccentric loading, BDC accuracy control, and die cooling from material distortion heat. To solve those issues, the requirements for forming machines, die design, and materials will be different from the normal stamping process. Here’re the features of KW1: 1.knuckle joint with multiple links providing long duration at BDC for better forging and stamping process
2.Large bed and wide side windows allow thick plate forming for progressive dies
3.Unitized frame provides high precision allowing eccentric loading from multi-stations stamping and reducing vibration. So it can manufacture parts with stable accuracy and quality
4.8-face 90° gibs offer high stability to improve the slide precision and extend the die life
5.Wet type clutch and brake supply efficient power and reach better performance to save energy and reach high efficiency
6.KW1 has a user friendly and multi-functional control system. It makes operation easy and available to monitor the machine status.
7.The slide motor drives worm gears to rotate the ball screw for adjusting the wedge-shape device. It can precisely and quickly achieve desired height. The design provides stable stroke, reduces variation and improves product precision.
8.Control system is integrated with safety circuits and tonnage monitor to check the loading. It also secure the press life by emergently stop for overloaded
