MMDA Gets Transcend Body Cameras to Equip Traffic Enforcers
Date published 2018-02-14

Transcend Information, Inc. (Transcend ), a leading manufacturer of storage and multimedia products, is proud to work with PCWorx to offer its body cameras to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA). Ferwin Lao, Vice President of PCWorx, donates 20 units of Transcend DriverPro Body 10 to the MMDA to equip traffic enforcers with body cameras which can provide evidence during apprehension of traffic violators on the road. The DrivePro Body 10’s wide 160° viewing angle, ƒ/2.8 aperture lens, and Full HD 1080P recordings ensure all the important details of actions are clearly recorded. The body cameras are to make the traffic enforcers more effective in managing and monitoring the traffic flow in the metropolis.

“We’ve been entered Philippines for more than 10 years. It is our advocacy to support the community. We are hoping with the body cameras, we could help MMDA enforcers on duties. ”said Jimmy Chiang, country manager of Transcend Philippines.

Collect evidence day and night

With a large ƒ/2.8 aperture, a wide 160° viewing angle and a high-quality camera lens, the DrivePro Body 10 can automatically adjust to different lighting conditions to capture all details of actions during either daytime or nighttime in clear and smooth 1080P (30fps) recordings. In addition, as infrared LEDs turn on automatically on in low light, recording at night is now easier than ever before.

Handy snapshot button

The handy snapshot feature allows you to take photos while recording video. During an incident, press the snapshot button to capture photographic evidence on the spot.

Optimum outdoor protection

The rugged DrivePro Body 10 provides excellent protection for outdoor recording. The IPX4 water resistant feature offers protection against splashing water from any direction. The DrivePro Body 10 also features a built-in battery and excellent water and shock resistance, making it ideal for indoor and outdoor use.

MLC-based microSD card included

The DrivePro Body 10 comes bundled with a Transcend 32GB High Endurance memory card built of top-tier MLC NAND flash chips, and tested under harsh environmental conditions. It can operate in temperatures from -25° to 85°C, providing consistent long-life durability and endurance.

DrivePro Body Toolbox

Transcend’s DrivePro Body Toolbox is exclusively designed for the DrivePro Body series, featuring a user-friendly interface that allows users to securely manage recorded videos and snapshots on Windows PCs. With the Toolbox, users can adjust settings for both the Toolbox and the DrivePro Body device, format internal storage, and upgrade the body camera’s firmware.
