In order to push the smart city initiative, EDIMAX and the Taipei city government announced the Smart City IoT Kiosk Solution collaboration in the year 2019, which kicked off in the heart of Taipei, where the Taipei 101 skyscraper resides-the Xinyi District area.

The EDIMAX Kiosk is one of a kind due to its exclusive EDIMAX core components, integrating multiple software, hardware and cloud services to satisfy five core services such as providing internet service, touring guide, real-time air quality, advertisement broadcasting and emergency disaster prevention system.

The KIOSK already passed the initial “Proof of Business” and provided new IoT business models, with this said, the project is now ready to continue into the second phase in the year 2020.
