NEXCOM's in-vehicle computers are designed to operate in extremely harsh environments, with an operating temperature range of -35°C to 70°C. Recognizing that existing uninterruptible power supply (UPS) products in the market typically use lithium batteries with an operational temperature range of only 0°C to 45°C, NEXCOM independently developed an uninterruptible power system (UPS) using supercapacitors. This new system operates within a temperature range of -35°C to 80°C, addressing unstable power environments in vehicles and applications requiring delayed shutdowns to back up data. This innovation completes the puzzle for vehicle applications.
The VTK-SCAP vehicle/railway supercapacitor UPS system can be configured according to the end customer's usage scenario and power requirements, supporting up to one master, or one master plus three slaves, with a maximum capacity to support 200W computer systems.
