Nearly all traditional gardening tools like grass cutters, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, and chain saws use two stroke gas-powered engines. However, these tools inevitably generate loud noise, pollution, and enormous vibration making their use quite uncomfortable for all involved. While such motors have already been banned within the transportation system; only in gardening is there still over a 90% usage remaining for two stroke engines.
If one wishes to change from gas engine into electric motor, which originally uses a typical carbon brush design. The general structure of these tools are similar to the gas engine grass cutters, placing the motor at the back and using propeller shafts and reduction gears to give power to the blades. It will force users to not only deal with unwieldy and bulky volumes, but also to bear heavy weights, as well. These cumbersome designs were made in order for the devices to guarantee a sufficiently high degree of power, but clearly they lacked in overall mechanical efficiency. The typical electric grass cutter has low power (about 200W), low mechanical efficiency, and a low battery life (with many batteries exhausting their charge within 10 ~ 20 minutes); that is why these traditional electric tools have failed to replace two stroke engine grass cutters in the marketplace.
Seeing that Comlink BLDC grass cutter is small, lightweight, high powered, and has a long battery life, produces no noise or pollution, and needs no maintenance at all, many schools, government organizations, farms, and small scale inns have chosen to use this product.
Since over 10 million two stroke engine grass cutters are sold globally each year, Comlink’s main goal is to try to displace these tools in the marketplace. And, to contribute as much as possible to the fight against global warming, while protecting the local environment, and ensuring personal safety and comfort.

About Comlink Electronic Co., Ltd.

Comlink Electronic Co., Ltd. was founded in 1983 and began its operations by helping customers update their PBX systems from a conventional DTMF dialing system to a PULSE dialing system.

In 2009, by chance event, Chairman Wu was deeply impressed by the operation of a brushless DC electric motor system (BLDC). He immediately recognized the significance of the fact that the brushless motor could generate great power while still being very lightweight. He quickly brought together a team which undertook intensive research and development aimed at incorporating the brushless DC motor into a control system. And, after three and one-half years, the team was the first in Taiwan to successfuly fashion this powerful, but nevertheless convenient, electric gardening tool that can now easily and efficiently replace traditional forms of gas powered gardening tools.

One summer day in 2009, Chairman Wu saw workers were wearing masks and earmuffs and holding leaf blowers, cleaning leaves next to the Yilan Flying Center. The leaf blowers were generating a deafening noise along with billowing smoke. Because Chairman Wu had spent a considerable time researching the powering of remote-control planes, he immediately thought of a question when he saw this sight. “Remote-control helicopters nowadays are already being controlled using electricity. Brushless DC motors can outrun gas engines, so why not just replace the gas engine in current gardening tools with a brushless DC motor?” Then start the research,During the development process, the team was incredibly strict in maintaining a high degree of quality for the controlling system, battery system, and charging system. After 3 years of hard work in development, they were able to come out in 2013 with many different gardening tools ―, starting a new era in the use of electronic gardening tools.
