AC830, mil-spec portable hard drive debut is hermetically designed to ensure maximal stability. Unlike the plastic or rubber shell that is commonly seen on shock-resistant hard drives, it's aluminum case is a single-piece structure that fully encloses the interior and can withstand up to 600kg of weight, equivalent to around 2 Harley-Davidson heavy bikes together. The hard drive is carefully wrapped by 3 protective damper layers that are measured and built to keep the core suspended at all times against any shock or drop, keeping excellent stability by absorbing external forces from all directions. AC830 meets IP68 standard; the dustproof and waterproof features ensure the best of protection against the environment.
AC830 is also compliant with two standards: U.S. military’s drop test of MIL-STD- 810G method 516.6 Procedure IV (Transit drop test) and Rockwell hardness test. When falling from a 1.22m-height, or when bearing a force load, the rigorously engineered design achieves all-condition performance.
Mil-spec rugged quality certainly does not mean compromised aesthetics. The metallic diamond cut side design and robust durability are integrated into a smooth silhouette that shapes the entire unite without any angles, while a faceted design applies to both sides. Built against oxidization or fingerprints, the uniquely processed surface finishing is not shy of presentability or a strong sense of technology. Available in 1TB and 2TB, AC830 is equipped with USB 3.1 Gen 1 for high speed processing. In other word, from up to 833 hours of video, 500,000 songs to 1 million images, nothing stops the rapidness. The high performance is unchallenged by environmental extremes.
