Cedrosの軽量化のポイントは、寶熊（Okuma）が特別に開発したアルミとマグネシウムの合金「ライトキャスト™ボディ」を採用していることで、従来のアルミ合金に比べて15％の軽量化をしながら同様の強度を実現しています。長時間の釣りでの手の負担を軽減するだけでなく、アルミ・マグネシウム合金素材と特殊な防錆技術により、金属製リールの塩水サビの問題を解決します。

さらに、CedrosはHDGII高効率防錆ギアセットを搭載し、強力な伝送容量と優れた防錆伝送構造を提供します。ブレーキはOKUMA DFDダブルブレーキ構造特許を採用し、最大44lbsの最大制動力を提供します。

Cedrosは、強度、強力なブレーキ構造、高いブレーキ力を考慮しながら大幅に軽量化されており、ボートフィッシングアイアンプレートやボートルアーのいずれに使用しても、大型のカンパチやキハダマグロ、シイラなどに簡単に対応できます。
