The design and development of 2-WAY bidirectional slow-motion slides eliminate the restriction of unidirectional use. This feature was developed in meeting a client's particular drawer requirements. The bidirectional slow-motion drawer slides have no spatial limits and can be co-used from two sides. The drawer can be opened from the two ends, effectively eliminating wasted space and solving issues arising from limited spaces.
The slide design retains the smoothness and comfort when opening the drawer and can be used in the cashier counter, meal pick-up window, under-table trash can, POS machine, and others. At home, it can be used as a bidirectional drawer at the entrance hallway. In the past, two two-section slides are welded to facilitate a full extension of drawers.
To achieve the goal of bidirectional full extension of the drawer, an active sliding stop-point mechanism is included at both lateral sides of the slide’s middle frame. Thus, the start button will turn on the stop-point mechanism, allowing the middle frame to fit into the ball groove of the cabinet and drawer frames. This way, the drawer can be opened from both ends.
Targeting this bidirectional drawer need, we ameliorate the two-section design into three-section full extension slides and incorporated bidirectional buffer, allowing the user to feel at ease when opening the drawer. This product can be used for the horizontal extension of a bar counter while also meeting the application demands of commercial spaces, home spaces, or kitchens. The use of the drawer will no longer be limited to a unilateral side of the opening. Our bidirectional design is an innovative breakthrough of tradition drawer designs.
