For the new High Road, Maxxis wants to provide an all-around competition level tire for customers that can be trusted in all conditions.
The tread was designed with a smooth center to effectively reduce rolling resistance, with a simple pattern on the sides for better water drainage. The exclusive new Full Silica HYPR compound decreases rolling resistance by 16%, and increases wet traction by 23% (when compared to previous Maxxis race clincher models). An additional layer of Maxxis’ K2 breaker protection lies beneath the tread, complementing the supple 170TPI casing to become even more durable. (The K2 Breaker is constructed from the same material as bullet proof vests).
Maxxis is now the tire of choice for UCI World Tour team Israel Start-Up Nation, as well as UCI Continental road cycling team Team Brigdelane.
