With the rise of the electric vehicle industry, "gear grinding" is a key technology to meet the needs of high-precision gear noise reduction for the transmission mechanisms.

HIWIN MIKROSYSTEM has successfully developed a new generation of TM2 water-cooled torque motor, with the characteristics of low cogging and high-speed required by gear grinding machines. The relevant features are as follows.

◆ High-efficiency electromagnetic design: Cogging torque is reduced by 50%, output torque is increased by 30%, and the maximum speed can
reach up to 5000 rpm.
◆ Closed cooling system: The thin cooling jacket design eliminates the heavy cast iron casing of traditional machines.
◆ Axial cooling inlet and outlet: Cooling channel’s inlet and outlet are integrated into the motor locking interface, reducing the motor’s installation
space by up to 20%.
◆ Increased insulation capacity: Withstand operating voltages up to 1000 V ; provide resistance to voltage surges in extreme operations.
