The MD116 is designed to streamline and optimize Emergency Medical Services (EMS) processes for communicating, collecting, and documenting patient information. It provides enhanced support for emergency medical dispatchers, first responders and hospital staff needing to process medical data. Data can be collected and shared between the MD116 and other devices, e.g. ECG units and respirators, including health insurance card information and real-time data transfers of important patient information such as vital signs . Patient data can be transmitted to medical centers by broadband mobile network, radio, printout, fax, or as a PDF before the patient arrives. Medical treatment is expedited as the patient is preregistered and hospital staff can prepare for the patient’s arrival. Dispatch centers, ambulance services and hospitals can also benefit from reduced costs to their internal processes by using the MD116 to efficiently integrate operations and generate electronic EMS reports.
