UPower Pro-22, a new hot swap battery concept for hospital carts equipped with laptops. In many hospitals, laptops are used on nursing carts for data entry and data retrieval of patient or medication data. After 1-2 years of usage the laptop batteries needs to be replaced or even worse Onyx recognized this is as a not a very customer friendly solution so we developed the UPower Pro-22 with hot swap batteries. The batteries can be replaced on demand by any user because of it has multiple Voltage outputs (9V,19V and 24V DC) .
In the past, electrically powered pharmacy carts were not in popular usage due to the fact that the carts could lock out access to patients’ medication if the cart were to lose power. Much time would then be wasted waiting for the cart .With UPower Pro-22, the capability of providing endless power with an innovative dual hot swappable battery architecture ensures that the nursing carts remain powered even while replacing a battery.
