TPI first introduced all ceramic ball bearings for bike wheel hubs several years ago. They were assembled in a hub and wheel for track bike. It was tested that 0.3 second reduction was achieved by Olympic athlete thanks to its low friction and high stiffness to weight ratio properties.
Bike wheel hubs specified all ceramic ball bearings which are made of ASTM F2094 Standard ceramic and manufactured by automated machine exceeds industrial standard. They provide excellent friction property for hubs where 90% bearing friction loss is consumed.
