The 14,000 TEU class container vessel is completely designed and constructed by CSBC. She is the largest container vessel ever built in Taiwan, and also set up an important milestone for Taiwan shipbuilding industry. This vessel has 10 cargo hold, she can carry 14,198 TEU containers on board. And this vessel can also meet IMO (International Maritime Organization) EEDI (Energy Efficiency Design Index) highest standard for the year of 2025, which means carbon emission can be largely reduced for this vessel.
This is the first ship constructed by CSBC with the twin island design concept. Besides, the improvement of visibility that allows more containers stacking on deck and it makes cabin crews very comfortable. Moreover, fuel oil tanks are arranged under the deck house, not only being protected by the double hull, but also fully utilize the vacant space under the deck house.
CSBC 14,000 TEU class container vessel applies the design concept of smart ships, contains RMS (Remote Maintenance System) that can remotely link to the equipment onboard. In addition, customized ENIRAM system collect the use vessel performance data to analyze and get the best route planning and sailing condition that can help to reduce the fuel consumption and CO2 emission.
Furthermore, CSBC not only provides the best design to customers, but also apply many green devices which are environment friendly. In addition to environmental protection devices mentioned above and the ES-BOW (Energy-Saving Bow) design, CSBC 14,000 TEU container vessel also equips the ES (Energy Saving) devices developed by CSBC, including ES rudder bulb, ES twisted rudder and high efficiency propeller. Combined with all energy saving equipment, the performance of this vessel can reach highest standard of container vessel design.
