Advantech WebAccess/Cloud is a cloud-based software platform that features open architecture and open interfaces to provide an ideal platform for IoT data collection and big data connectivity. Using MQTT, IoT data are transferred to the cloud for big data storage to enable big data analysis and predictive maintenance for Industry 4.0 services.
Advantech’s WebAccess/Cloud is designed to offer customers a comprehensive solution for adapting to Industry 4.0. The key features and capabilities of WebAccess/Cloud, including data communication, data synchronization, data visualization, IoT administration, multi-project maintenance, and web-enabled user interfaces, are outlined below.
1. Data communication
Large amounts of device data can be uploaded to the cloud using the MQTT protocol. The MQTT protocol also supports back-and-forth communication between local devices and the cloud.
2. Data synchronization
The platform is equipped with plug-and-play capabilities to automatically synchronize data between local devices and the cloud.
3. Data visualization
With the provision of an HTML 5-based dashboard, data stored on the cloud can be displayed in real-time as dynamically updated graphs and charts.
4. IoT administration
The inclusion of Node-RED enables users to wire together various IoT data collection devices for easy data integration.
5. Multi-project maintenance
To reduce project maintenance time and hardware resource utilization, multiple projects can be executed concurrently on the same VM on the cloud.
Advantech WebAccess platform, which forms the core of its IoT solutions, not only offers eco-partners and system integrators a human-machine interface (HMI) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) software, but also serves as an IoT platform and cloud gateway solution.
