Advantech along with ARM, Bosch Sensortec, Sensirion and Texas Instruments, announced the collaboration of a new Internet of Things (IoT) sensor platform called M2.COM. The open standard is integrated with wireless technology, microcontroller and the interfaces for sensors into a wireless module. For now days, the hardware is not enough for IoT era. Therefore, Advantech offers complete software development kit including RTOS or mbed OS designed for IoT applications, sample codes and development tools. For Cloud platform, Advantech also build WISE-PaaS/RMM for remote monitoring management.
WISE-DK1520 Low Power WiFi IoT Node Starter kit is launched in accordance with M2.COM standard. WISE-DK1520 starter kit includes M2.COM WISE-1520 low-power WiFi modules integrated with ARM Cortex-M4 micro controllers. The powerful computing power can be used to handle access to information and provide UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO, PWM, ADC and other interface device or sensor connection. WISE-DB1500 can be used as the best example of industrial networking applications development board. It provides rich interfaces for sensors and also builds a temperature and humidity sensor on board. The rest of starter kit offers debugging board, antenna, power adapter and all necessary cables. Moreover, the complete SDK with built-in WISE-Agent to handle Cloud communication protocol, the users can be easily to use WSE-PaaS / RMM Cloud Platform for remote monitoring. With the integration of hardware, software and cloud platform offered by Advantech, developers can quickly build and verify the conceptual products. The innovative WISE-DK1520 Low Power WiFi IoT Node Starter kit helps to shorten development time and reduce overall costs. Developers can reduce the threshold of integration on Internet-of-Things to focus on Big Data collection and accelerate the development of IoT applications
